About

This is a fansite for author Ake (Åke) Edwardson, who writes crime fiction. Ake Edwardson is one of the increasingly popular Swedish crime writers. We have set up this site because we like Ake Edwardson’s books a lot, and have noticed that there was no web site for Ake Edwardson. We think he deserves more of a web presence!

ake-edwardson-1During the last few days we have struggled to create a good looking and attractive web design – including layout, formats, use of colors etc – for this site. But the site is still under construction, and we will be adding more content about the author, his books, interviews and news about him, and more.

The site is affiliated with Google and Amazon. You can support the site by using the links provided here. Just to be clear on this issue: This site is not expected to make us money! This is a hobby site for us – we do not expect to be paid for the hours spent on this. The very few dollars we may make on these ads will hopefully contribute towards the costs associated with developing the site, software used and to costs of hosting the site.

We hope the site can help to make the literary qualities of Ake Edwardson more visible on the internet, and perhaps make a few more people read his books!

If you have questions or comments, book reviews or stories you want to submit, or want to sponsor the site or post an ad here, get in touch with us at Robert (at) akeedwardson.com!

I have just come across these books by Aike Edwardson and was surprised to find he came from Sweden. My name is also Edwardson but we stem from Shetland. Does he have any connection to Shetland?

I believe that the Edwardson surname hails from Iceland and other scandinavian countries. There are quite a few Edwardsons dotted about in the UK but it is not a particularly common surname.

Hilsen Bent

I’d like a list of Ake’s favorite jazz musicians and albums. I always appreciate his reference to jazz and jazz musicians in his mystery novels. I’m a big fan of Coltraine, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Bill Frisell, etc. Does he have a ‘play list’?

Just discovered your Erik Winter series, but “started” with Sun & Shadow and am halfway thru Never End. A bit of research found that apparently due to translation & English language & US publishing opportunities that the very first book in the series is Death Angel. I am having a bit of trouble finding out all of the books in the Erik Winter series…whether translated in English or not. I just want to read the series in chronological order and have already requested a copy of Death Angels from my local library. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!
